Grammar:  Unit 6 Pronouns

 

6th Term Spelling Units:      

week of      4/14   Unit 22

                        4/21   (4 day week--no spelling)

                        4/28   Unit 23

                         5/5     Unit 24

 

 

Spelling Procedure:

         *Monday

                        ~8 unit pages are assigned (due on Friday)

                        ~students have 10 minutes to work on these

                           pages and become familiar with the words and

                           spelling principle

                        ~they take a pretest on the 20 words

                                  (they test on Thursday only on the words

                                    they miss; if they miss none, they

                                    test on the challenge words)

                        ~students receive the Home Practice Spelling

                          Page and staple the pretest to the back 

                                 (this is brought to class on Thursday for the

                                   indivdualized tests)

                        ~the rest of the classtime is devoted to working

                           on spelling and handwriting   

           *Friday

                        ~students give each other the individualized

                           spelling tests

           *Spelling Grade  35 points: 

                                             20pts = words spelled correctly

                                             10pts = home practice page (words

                                                              written on front, back

                                                              exercise completed)

                                                5pts = pretest stapled to home

                                                              practice page

We only do spelling on 5-day weeks!
